Virtual EQ Café – Authenticity

13th April, 04:00–06:00 pm, West African Time

Authenticity Cafe: Tapping into what’s real

In an age of social comparison and conformity, embracing authenticity empowers individuals to live genuinely, fostering trust and meaningful connection. While ‘being authentic’ has tremendous value and benefits, it’s challenging (and perhaps becoming more challenging due to social and technological changes).

In this Business Café, we will explore:

  • What does ‘authenticity’ mean and why is it important?
  • What gets in the way of authenticity, and how can we overcome those barriers?
  • What are some risks of authenticity, and how can we mitigate those?
EQ Cafés are interactive, informal workshops created by Six Seconds, the global nonprofit supporting a more emotionally intelligent world. I’m a volunteer leader in the network, supporting people to practice emotional intelligence – and we’re especially focused on bringing these skills to future generations. The Cafés are open to anyone.
Who: Business leaders and professionals who are not only interested in learning about and practicing emotional intelligence—the learnable, measurable, scientifically validated skillset we all need to thrive but also interested in building a workforce equipped with emotional intelligence, driving them toward success and embrace authenticity empowers individuals to live genuinely, fostering trust and meaningful connection
