Reconnecting with Community

In a time of rising polarisation and uncertainty, a natural reaction is to pull inward, to protect ourselves by disconnecting from others. But community is built through connection, not isolation. When we reconnect with the people around us, using emotional intelligence to listen, support, and co-create, we build the kind of resilience that no one can build alone.

In this EQ Café we will explore how emotions connect us. Drawing on new research from Six Seconds on the “Resource Caravan”, a cluster of EQ skills that travel together and strengthen resilience, we’ll discover which emotional intelligence capacities fuel genuine community and practice the simplest and most powerful form of connection there is: listening.

Emotional intelligence (aka “EQ”) means being smarter with feelings and we can grow EQ by practising together. EQ Cafés are insightful, engaging sessions for people curious about emotional intelligence to connect and learn together.

We are blessed to have a global community working towards 1 billion people practising emotional intelligence. Gathering in community and practising emotional intelligence supports us, this time in growing our resilience, another one of the foundational pillars of EQ.

In this Emotional Intelligence Application Café we will discover:

• ② How do specific EQ skills form a “Resource Caravan” that fuels the community?
• ③ What happens when we truly listen to each other and how does that strengthen the connection?

The Applied Emotional Intelligence courses can be deployed in 2 Hours – Half Day or full-day insightful sessions for employees to achieve change by applying the potency of emotional intelligence to different areas of organisational needs.
